He has been principal of Toronto Central Academy since 1999 and in addition to his teaching career served as Headmaster of Holy Trinity School, and Chief Scientist and Associate Director General (acting) of the Ontario Science Center.

Philip has a Bachelor of Education and is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers since 1987. He is a graduate of the University of Montrealâs Teachers College with additional training in special needs education at McGill University. He is also a certified TESL teacher. In addition to having taught at the secondary school levels in both Quebec and Ontario, Phil was, for many years, the creator of distance education courses and educational films for TvOntario.
Hakan Oztunc,Ph.D. in Statistics and Econometrics
Dr. Hakan has a Ph.D. in Statistics and Econometrics. For nearly 6 years he taught math in US to secondary level and for five years he taught math and statistics in Turkey to university students. Dr. Hakan has worked in the field of education for more than 20 years in several countries. In addition to having taught at the secondary school and university levels, he is the author of math and statistics books. “The greatest chance of a person is to meet a great teacher when he/she was young.”
Daryl Bergman is an Ontario Certified teacher for grades 10-12 Social Sciences as well as ESL. He has a B.A. (Geography / International Studies) and a B. Ed. from the University of Toronto. For nearly 12 years he taught ESL in South Korea to secondary level and university students. “I have learned that in order to be a great teacher, one has to be an excellent learner. 'A teacher is a learner, and a learner is a teacher'.
Michael Kaszowski teaches Business, English, and History. He as combined honours degrees in English and History from Western University, and Bachelor’s of Education degree from Nipissing University, He has taught at the elementary and secondary school levels including ESL. “Don’t let others say that you cannot do something. Seek to prove them wrong. Aim higher, push yourself harder, for tomorrow will open doors you never thought possible.”
Lawinia Pagliuso is TESL Ontario certified and teaches all levels of ESL. She has a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics and ESL from Georgia State University in the USA as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in English and Russian Language and Literature from Adam Mickiewicz University in her home country Poland. Lawinia is TESL Ontario certified. “It is very important for me to know that students are comfortable in my class. Happy students are motivated students and such do better and achieve more.”
John Little teaches Mathematics, Business and ESL from Grades 9 to Grade 12. He has been an Ontario Certified Teacher since 2010. Originally from England, he earned a Bachelors of Commerce and Education at Saint Mary's University. "Great teaching begins with a passion and love of learning. Ding Liu teaches Mathematics from Grades 9 to Grade 12. He earned a Bachelors of Commerce at Dalhousie University. He is specialized in preparing students for the CEMC - Waterloo Math Contest. TCA ranked 38 nationally in the 2017 Euclid mathematics contest for grade 12 students held by University of Waterloo.
Bachelor of Biochemistry. McMaster University
Ella earned her Bachelor degree in honors of Biochemistry at McMaster University with strong science knowledge-based background and excellent Mathematics application skills. She is well qualified but not limited to teach wide range of senior high school Mathematics including Function, Calculus and Data Management, as well as has much experience on working with groups of students to support them in Chemistry, physics, and biology studies in private schools and tutor centers. Majority of students received a dramatic improvement not only on marks but also the enthusiasm on the studying of related filed.
Kazi Ahmed teaches Mathematics from Grades 9 to Grade 12. Originally from Bangladesh, he earned a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics at York University. “Above all I believe that teaching is not about how much you know, but about how much we can give back to our students, inspiring them to work harder and push through the odds to be the best they can be.”
Elizabeth Noble teaches Social Sciences including Geography and ESL. She is a certified teacher who has taught for over 10 years. She has a Master’s Degree in Education, a Masters in Geography from the U of T and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Guelph. Elizabeth also holds a diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language.
Ela Kashyap teaches Computer Science to Grade 11 and Grade 12. She holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from the University of Melbourne, Australia. “Teaching is my passion and I always try to go the extra mile to make my classes interesting by focusing on the practical aspects of education. I believe that learning by doing is the best way to educate students.”
Katherine Percival is a Certified Educator registered with the Ontario College of Teachers and has been working with students in the arts for 10 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Bachelor of Education from Brock University. For the last two years, Katherine has been working with community art institutions to extend the reach of arts educations. Katherine strives to help her students bring creativity into all aspects of their lives and emphasizes the relevance and importance that art plays within our society.
Holding credentials as a graduate from the Ontario Institute for Studies of the University of Toronto in Education, and Seneca College’s Digital Media Art program, Eric Tigley has spent many years walking a thin line between illustrator/designer, fine artist, and educator. Realizing that these career paths were all related in the realm of communication, Eric pursued a career that incorporated the art of visual interaction and learning. To ensure that this initiative could progress on a social, as well as educational level, Eric co-founded Youth Education through Interactive Arts (YETI), a collective that provides literacy through contemporary art workshops and book publishing. Eric continues to show work in galleries throughout the GTA and is an avid live painter and community organizer.
